The reason I titled this post as a Search Engine Optimization Tutorial Crash Course is because I just want to hit the nail on the head and tell you 4 important things that you need to know Search Engine optimization. I urge you not to give up on learning about this valuable source of traffic. Search engine traffic is absolutely important for any business to have in addition to social media traffic, paid advertising traffic.
But with the changes google is bring about Search Engine Optimization is not the same ranking is much easier and faster if you follow the right SEO plan. In this Search Engine Optimization Tutorial Crash Course I will briefly touch upon the aspects that impact you’re ranking on the Search Engines the most.

Picking the Right Keyword
Firstly you have to pick the right keyword, if this step goes wrong you will be wasting a lot of your time and you are sure to fail. I always focus on picking up super niche keywords these keywords usually have a good search volume a low competition and are easy to rank.
So when you look for keyword you always start with a Market like the Health Market and then you choose a few broad niches in this market that interest you like BODY PAIN now you dig a little deeper into this niche to find a sub niche like KNEE PAIN, SHOULDER PAIN, BACK PAIN etc now we dig deeper to find a super sub niche like lower back pain, upper back pain, back pain in women etc.
These are the kind of long tail keywords we would like to target as these keywords will have less competition they will have a decent amount of searches and they will have a good commercial intent.
Domain Selection
This step of selecting a domain is important, and its pretty simple as well all you need to do is make sure your domain name has your main keyword in it. You can look for .com, .org or net preferably try for a .com if domain you want with the keyword is taken just add an alphabet at the end of the domain and you should get it.
Let say you want backpaininwomen.com but its taken you can try out backpaininwomenz.com just add a alphabet at the end like in this eg I add z this will get you the domain with the keyword in it.
On Page optimization
I am going to mention 5 absolutely important on page optimization factors you need to have on your site, if you want to implement any other factors other than the five we have mentioned below you can do so.
The on page optimization is basically done for the search engine spider to tell them what the page is about and what the page is talking about, this helps the spiders to place our site in the search engine.
1. Your Main Keyword should be in the h1, h2 and h3 tags at least once on your page
2. Your content should be unique and at least 500 words
3. You should have an image on the page with a alt tag in the image.
4. You should have a keyword density of 2%-4%
5. Keyword should be BOLD, ITALISIZE, UNDERLINE at least once.
Off Page Optimization.
Off page optimization simple means building or getting backlinks to your site. This might seem to be a tedious and difficult task it is not trust me. You have to focus on others building backlinks for you rather that you trying to build all of them yourself.
Focus on writing good content that people will share with others, here is a list of other backlink strategies I use these simply work so try it.
1. Social bookmark your site and post.
2. Submit a Press Release
3. Submit to High PR Web Directories
4. Submit your RSS feed to RSS Aggregators
5. Blog Commenting on High PR blogs
6. Build Contextual Blog Links
7. Submit Videos to Video sites
8. Submit Articles To Article Directories
